Convicted Child Molester Sentenced In Fremont

FREMONT, Calif.
A Fremont car salesman convicted of molesting six children has been sentenced to 420 years to life in prison.
48-year-old Brian Bud Benson was sentenced by Alameda County Judge Dennis McLaughlin on Thursday at the Fremont Hall of Justice.
Benson was convicted of 29 counts of child molestation in July after a month long trial in which six child victims, five girls and one boy, testified against him. Prosecutors portrayed Benson as a scheming car salesman who earned the trust of three single mothers to gain access to their kids.
The victims, who ranged in age from six to thirteen at the time of the incidents, told police they were fondled, raped or forced to perform oral sex by Benson between May 1996 and April 2003.
