MIAMI -- A nanny who sexually abused the daughter of a well-known South Florida lobbyist is fighting to get out of prison early.

Waldina Flores repeatedly molested Ron Book's daughter over a five-year period starting when the girl was just 12 years old.

A judge added another 10 years to Flores' 15-year sentence for violating her probation by sending letters to the victim.

Friday, Flores asked the judge to throw out the extra 10 years.

While the judge at first agreed, he later put his decision on hold while he considers the state's appeal of his ruling.

There is no word on when the judge will rule on Flores' request.
