(Cedar Rapids - KCRG) -- The trial for Roger Bentley's brother, James Bentley, is on track.
James is in jail.
He is also accused of molesting Jetseta Gage.
James Bentley's trial was pushed back from earlier this month to the end of May because he is facing sexual abuse charges in Benton County.
James Bentley lived in Vinton.
As it stands right now, the case is moving forward, even though Jetseta died.
Linn County Attorney Harold Denton would not say whether authorities had questioned the girl before she died, but police tend to get witness and victim statements as quickly as possible.
James was arrested months before Jetseta died.
Denton did admit Jetseta's death might change the case, but for now the trial is still set for May 31st.
Denton said, "Obviously we're looking at it. This is a change in circumstances. We'll be evaluating the evidence and evaluating the case and try to make a determination as exactly how to proceed."
James' case is similar to his brother's in that they are both accused of molesting Jetseta.
According to court records, Jetseta spent two weekends with James at his Vinton home.
During those weekends, one in October and another in November of 2004, James allegedly performed sexual acts with Jetseta.
Investigators say they do not expect to make any more arrests in connection with Jetseta's death.
