I have noticed that quite many people are reading about Alexander Bedford
and so am putting out his prison info in case anyone would like to drop him a line
or send him a card to show he is not forgotten.
I looked on the Net but he doesn't seem to have any personal webpage.

Sarah Marie Johnson received a life sentence for murdering her parents.

I followed the case for a while and saved some articles and pictures but after her sentencing I let go.

Today I read more about her 'supposed' rape by an inmate in the Blaine County jail. It seems 'everyone' thinks she is a liar to the max and her story lacks credibility.

This may be the case but there may be a few people who would like to correspond with Sarah..assuming she's agreeable to it..and so I have added her name and address on this webpage. Hopefully she won't mind. It may give her a chance to defend herself yet once more.

...It is very hard to have someone you love in prison. It breaks my heart that my son is there for six more years. He is just 19 yrs old and not a bad kid. He just made some real bad choices and is now paying for it.

We are from Hawaii and he is in prison in Oregon so its really hard as I can't just go visit any time. He feels like he has no one, tho our family writes constantly. He feels like no one else out there cares.

I don't want him to get depressed or give up. I want him to stay positive, keep out of trouble, and come home. I miss him dreadfully. His name is :

It seems as if Lionel Tate will be spending a very long time in prison and, because Florida prisoners may not personally advertise for penpals, I have decided to do so for him.

I'm sure he would welcome letters of friendship and support as it seems he got little of either as a kid.

I was reading up on the life and times of a certain juvenile 'offender' when I came across some info about the King brothers, Derek and Alex, who were found guilty of the murder of their father in 2002. They admitted to murder and arson and were sentenced for the crime of third degree murder which radically lowered the length of time they have to serve.

Derek King is in an adult prison and his release date is 11/24/2009. Perhaps someone out there would like to drop him a line.

Today I read that Lynda R Branch ( # 83699 ) and Shirley Lute ( # 81496 ), two ladies who are incarcerated in Missouri for killing their abusive spouses, are to be released on parole AT LAST!!

It seems the state Governor had granted them both commutations which were, for some reason, denied by the parole board.

These two ladies may be set free at any time but they are still in prison today ( I checked on the MO DOC website ) so maybe some of the folks reading this message will want to send them a card or a note.

Just lately alot has been written about Genarlow Wilson who had consensual oral sex with a girl aged 15 years. He himself was 17 years old at the time.

...A 17-year-old star football player and honor student, Wilson was arrested on the day he was supposed to take his SATs after police saw a video showing him receiving oral sex from a 15-year-old girl at a 2003 New Year's Eve party.

Under Georgia law, the encounter constituted "aggravated child molestation." The girl said the act was consensual, but in February 2005, Wilson was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a lifetime on Georgia's sex offender registry.

The following year, Georgia legislators changed the law to make most consensual sex between teenagers a misdemeanor rather than a felony, with a sentence of no more than 12 months in jail.

Yet Wilson, now 21, remains in a legal limbo. Today — having spent two years, three months and 25 days in prison — he is to appear in court to hear a judge rule on a habeas corpus petition seeking his immediate release on constitutional grounds.

"It truly is cruel and unusual punishment," his attorney, B.J. Bernstein, said last week outside the Monroe County courthouse after a hearing before Superior Court Judge Thomas Wilson...
