CURRENT OBJECTIVE

I am currently working full time while I complete academic objectives expecting to graduate with a 3.3 gpa BS in Computer Science this coming Spring, (May 2005.) Upon graduation I will seek a position that will take advantage of my skills, experience and education while enhancing my already considerable repertoire. I hope to relocate to a more Southern State possibly the Kansas City region.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2002 - Current - Software Developer
    Invie Consulting, Inc.
    Developing intranet based industrial control software for IR Bobcat. Specializing in leading edge advanced JScript programming working together with ASP, Java applets, and VB.net to connect with Rockwell Software's RSView applications for PLC data access and control. Also engaged in numerous similarly leading edge software development projects using VBS, VB6 and C#.

  • 2001 - Current - Research Developer
    North Dakota State University
    Computer Science Department
    Developing Internet-based virtual reality educational software with the WWWIC. Responsible for legacy role based learning project engaged in research and development as part of a 6 member team. Programming in Java and LambdaMOO MUD.

  • 2000 - 2002 - Full Time Student
    North Dakota State University
    Computer Science Department
    Chose NDSU for its fully accredited CS program, opting specifically for the Bachelors of Science for its more technically oriented course work. Also worked part time during this period doing telephone research to develop interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent work ethics.

  • 1999-2000 Computer Programmer
    Community Colleges of Spokane
    Developed software using Visual Basic 6 as part of a 9 man team. Responsible for programming professional user interface components. Team leader for Quality Assurance and team coordination.

  • 1997-1999 Computer Science Teacher's Assistant
    Edmonds Community College
    Developed and taught College level Introductory Programming courses. Developed secure on-line quiz application using VB Script and ASP. Contributed to design and configuration of Windows NT network.

  • 1995-1996 Customer Service Manager
    iCat Corporation
    Developed methods for data mining of Internet trial ware statistics. Generated and designed reports for senior iCat executives. Responsible for training and production of two research team members.

EDUCATION

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

I am the Media Coordinator for the NDSU Karate club, and enjoy Karate for the exersize and discipline. I also like to snow ski in the winter, and scuba dive in the summer as well as numerous other outdoor activities. I am a "go getter" and I believe in the power of computers to help mankind achieve its potential, tinkering in amateur philosophy as I may. I like to develop web pages in my spare time for various small groups and organizations.
