Jackelyn BarnardJACKSONVILLE, FL -- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents, also known as ICE, arrested a local man on child sex abuse charges.
Sixty-year old John Tulip, of Palm Coast, was arrested at the Ramada Inn in Brunswick, GA, Wednesday night.
According to a nine page indictment, the U.S. Attorney's Office says Tulip was the legal guardian of the boy, who is under the age of 18.
Tulip is accused of taking pictures of the boy in sexually explicit conduct.
Tulip is charged with 12 different counts of being involved with the child in sexually explicit conduct.
Charges range from buying and selling of children to sending child porn over the computer.
According to the indictment, Tulip engaged in sexually explicit activities with the child between May 2000 and October 2003.
The indictment also states the acts happened in Memphis, New York City, Detroit and in St. Johns County.
Tulip recently lived in a home in St. Augustine. Sources say he was currently living in hotels.
The First Coast News I-team has learned ICE agents are interviewing people out of state in the case. Sources tell us the concern is other children are involved.

Tulip has a bond hearing on Monday in Federal Court.
If convicted, he faces 168 years in prison.
